Founder

Jalyn Marie Riddle was born on May 26, 1999 in Atlanta, Georgia.  She was raised in a household where she was always encouraged to pray, have faith in God, and help others.  At an early age, Jalyn witnessed her parents’ dedication to service and commitment to making a positive change in Atlanta.  This example challenged her to help others.  As a result, Jalyn has made a personal commitment to touch the lives of people through service.  From feeding the homeless, mentoring youth, or coordinating supply and toy drives to benefit various organizations, service inspires Jalyn to reach her ultimate goal of making a lifetime commitment to uplift humanity. When Jalyn was in middle school, she experienced bullying.  This incident affected Jalyn’s self-esteem and she began to question herself and her confidence. Jalyn made a promise to herself that she would one day form an organization to help middle school girls address this issue.   Currently, Jalyn is a 2021 graduate of Spelman College, and has maintained her promise of creating an organization to focus on issues associated with the mind, body, and soul of a middle school girl.  Thus evolved “For Her by Her, Incorporated.”  The purpose of this organization is to empower, mentor, and inspire young girls, ages 11-14, in the Southwest Atlanta community.  For Her by Her, Incorporated provides strategies for middle school girls to articulate challenges they may face during their adolescent years, and deal with these challenges in a positive way.  Jalyn provides workshops on self-esteem, body image, mental health, and other issues that affect middle school girls today.
